3-YEAR TRANSITION TO SUCCESS PROGRAM

Year 1

Development of Foundational Life Skills

  • Parenting: Participate in community parenting program & encourage children’s educational stability
  • Social Interactions: Learn/develop conflict resolution & find/build mentor relationship
  • Personal Accountability: Maintain all aspects of the Transition to Success (TTS) Participant’s agreement
  • Financial: Build a basic income/expense budget
  • Tenant Responsibility: Maintain clean, healthy environment & housing responsibilities
  • Sobriety/Recovery: Maintain all mandatory compliance requirements

Year 2

Development of Sustainable Work/Education/Finance Skills

  • Complete strengths and skills assessment
  • Assess and select training/education opportunities, agency or school
  • Write a resume and complete interview strategies workshop
  • Document job search
  • Begin sustainable-income job, training, or school
  • Define debt reduction strategy and complete a financial planning course

Year 3

Transitioning from Dependency to Self-Sufficiency & Graduation from Program
  • Participate in TTS Transitions Team
  • Prepare growth portfolio including payment history, references, referrals, exit background check
  • Complete needs assessment for post-graduation: permanent housing location and school goals
  • Complete projected post-graduation budget, obtain credit report
  • Define specific goals for continued post-graduation financial & housing self-sufficiency
  • Participate in active, positive circles of support

Transitional Housing

If you feel like life just keeps beating you down, let Elijah Family Homes help you and your family get back on your feet. Our Transition to Success (TTS) Program is designed specifically for those who are wanting to maintain sobriety and need some extra support along the way. There is currently a waitlist for housing, but while on the list, applicants participate in all supportive services/requirements connected with the TTS program.
